Good day everyone! Welcome to this new walking tour video. Today, we are here at the New Compostela Public Market in the Province of Cebu, Philippines. The new market is worth P25 million and was inaugurated by Congressman Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco including the P4 million COOP building for the members and officers of Compostela Market Vendors' Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This will replace the old market which was destroyed during the storm Odette in 2021. Though still in its construction phase, as I walked around the place, I was amazed, the land area is so big and once the construction is done and becomes operational, this will be a big help to the locals in Compostela. Considering that the facilities are new, spacious, and clean (depending on how they maintain cleanliness) going to the market will now be a different level of experience. Presently, vendors are selling their goods on a makeshift located just in front of the construction site. They are very excited for the new market to be opened soon.
