After a year of wearing the Oxford jeans I have found them to be very comfortable and would not have any hesitation in recommending them. "Slim fit" is comfy and the sizing is pretty much spot on. The leg size is slightly longer to allow for being sat on the bike. Oxford did have their top end AAA rated jean out at the end of 2021, BUT , there were problems with the testing company and they have lost the AAA rating and have been renamed "AA Dynamic". I do not know if they are a heavier jean than the jeans I bought, but I think they may be, as they were tested to a higher abrasion speed, so I assume they are heavier/stronger. They have the benefit of level 2 armour in the hip. These AA rated jeans are very comfortable and the weight, although heavier that a normal jean, is more than acceptable for the protection that they offer. There are times when the armour has moved a bit and you just have to reposition it every now and again.
