no crackles in audio Medley: Dolly Parton Alison Kraus Suzanne Cox When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder, Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb and There is Power in the Blood This is elsewhere on YouTube but the several posts of it all have crackles or other issues in the audio. So here it is with good audio. I also added the lyrics as sung here for people from other lands. Here Dolly, Alison, and Suzanne and their astonishing band perform a really a clever compilation of three songs. First is "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder." The original song has Lyrics and Music composed by James Milton Black in 1893. Here the group sings Black's 1st and 3rd verse, making them the 1st and 2nd verse here. They also sing James M. Black's refrain two times. For the 3rd verse in this medley, the trio eases into a different song. Verse 3 is from "Are You Washed in the Blood" Words & Music by Elisha A. Hoffman, who wrote the song in Cleveland, Ohio in 1878. This version also takes the 3rd refrain from Hoffman's song. Then the beautiful girls move into the third song of the medley. What is sort of the "4th verse" and the final refrain are from yet another song! It is from "There is Power in the Blood." Songwriters: DP, / SMITH, TODD A. / HALL, ALLAN / SMITH, NICOL JUNE RENEE. The girls then close the medley with the refrain from this song. So especially for those of you in foreign lands who need to see the words to understand what is being sung, here are the LYRICS as sung by Dolly, Alison, and Suzanne. 1. When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more, And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair; When the saved of earth have gathered over on the golden shore, And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there. (Refrain) When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there. 2. Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun, Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care; Then when all of life is over, and the work on earth is done, And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there. (Refrain) (To Instrumental) 3. Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you fully trusting in your Grace this hour? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? (Refrain) Are you washed, in the blood? In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? 4. Would you be free from your burden of sin? There's power in the blood, power in the blood; And would you o'er evil the victory win? 'Cause there's wonderful power in the blood. (2nd Alt refrain / close) There is power, power, wonder-working power, In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder-working power, In the precious blood of the Lamb. There is power, power, wonder-working power, In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder-working power, In the precious blood of the Lamb. In the precious blood of the Lamb.
