Return of GTW

On a rainy Saturday morning, we went out to Cory Yard in Lansing to see the last SD40-2 in Grand Trunk Western paint. Word was out that it had returned to Lansing, and it hasn't been there since February. While we were approaching the yard, the crossing lights came on. I jumped out of the car and it was 5936 coming from Millet Yard a few miles east. 5936 entered the yard after getting orders, and the light turned green for an eastbound. It took a while for the train to come, like it usually does at Cory. After it went by, we watched 5936 do some switching moves I heard something on the scanner, but I didn't pay much attention to the Milepost. The light turned green, and the train was upon us pretty quick. Two fresh Tier 4's were in the lead. They are showing up a lot lately on the Flint Subdivision. That wrapped up our day. I hope to see GTW 5936 again soon. -Casey
