To get the tabs of this arrangement in pdf format, do 3 simple things: Leave a comment; Subscribe to my channel; Email me request at info@julesfaife.uk I first heard this tune when watching Barry Norman's BBC Film Programme in the 1980's and 1990's. It's originally a great gospel style piece written by Billy Taylor and made famous vocally by Nina Simone. It has a very positive feel going into C major, also a more pensive emotion going into the relative minor Am. I enjoyed putting this into Chord-Melody format. First, I play around with the melody and chords to determine the best key to put the song in. Popular keys for chord-melody arrangements are D major (often with chords D, G and A) and A major (with chords D and E). Oh, and if you can change well between chords G, C and D, G major is a good key to arrange into too! I put a few solo lines into this arrangement too, mainly in a blues or country style, often with string bends. If you'd like to hear me play this on acoustic guitar, I perform it outdoors at a cafe venue in the summertime here: • I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free... #blues #gospel #country #hammerons #bends #stratocaster
