In this video I show you that I managed to adjust idle and get the wideband installed. My friend Slav helped me dial in base timing and I took the car on its first long drive to my friend Chris' house. I also go over the AFR readings from that drive and on the highway, explaining what kind of tuning that will be done on the carbs. To summarize: Idle/Light cruise - I'm seeing a range of 13.5 to 14.5 (median being low 14s). Actually seeing 15s on the highway. I don't think there's anything wrong with this but I plan to maybe fatten this to 13.5 in the peak of summer. Maybe end of June. Moderate throttle/Acceleration - I'm seeing a range of 9-11 Too rich. The stock carbs do not come with adjustable needles so I'm stuck here unless I get a kit from Dynojet but I think I will hold off until I swap to a bigger main jet. WOT - I'm seeing a range of 15 climbing up to as bad as 19 Too lean. As a result I have been avoiding driving the car since until I get the bigger main jets installed. I went with 190 jets from JETSRUS which will tell me plenty of which direction to go. I hope to see close to 12.5 I also showed syncing the carbs using the Uni-Syn carburetor calibration tool.
