The calls of the Mottled Barred Frog recorded in tropical rainforest in Queensland. This species makes delightful low frequency guttural 'wonk' croaks as well as wheezy 'waark' sounds and soft barks and growls. Mottled Barred Frogs (Mixophyes coggeri) are found in lowland tropical rainforest in Far North Queenland, Australia. The are a large ground-dwelling frog species and are superbly camouflaged when sitting amongst forest leaf litter.
