Today’s tutorial also includes some of Allison’s favourite handling tricks, including: Make sure to collect all the excess skin and coat under the neck by getting the collar right up under the chin Use the lead & collar on the top of the dog’s head coming out between the ears, rather than on the side of the head Take larger strides for a larger dog (but honestly, most handlers are taking too short of steps) Use your “arm as a lever”; in this case pushing your arm out ahead of you when gaiting.
