Santa Clara University celebrated its 2025 undergraduate commencement Saturday, June 14, with an outdoor ceremony at Stevens Stadium. Under clear skies, 1,668 graduates crossed the stage as thousands of family members, friends, faculty and staff applauded their achievements. University President Julie Sullivan delivered a heartfelt address praising the Class of 2025 for its leadership, empathy and innovation. She recognized key accomplishments, including the launch of Santa Clara’s first on-campus thrift store, student-led advocacy for global and social justice issues, and the organization of the university’s first AI Summit. Sullivan also highlighted the students’ school spirit and perseverance, which helped SCU secure its first West Coast Conference Commissioner’s Cup in 18 years. Jayshree V. Ullal, M.S. ’86, president and CEO of Arista Networks, received an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree and delivered the keynote address. She was honored for exemplifying the values of Jesuit education and SCU’s mission to create a more humane, just and sustainable world.
