Traces of a Living Memory: 1st Prize Winner of International Design Competition
This is the final video presentation of the 1st prize winner of the International Design Competition for a Conceptual Strategy to "Build Courtyards in Beijing Xuanxi North Area". The design is based on complete building archaeological survey and cultural heritage conservation principles, and is a complex solution to the will of the local people, current weakness of the historical area and the government's future urban plan. The inner logic of the design is a rigorous reasoning process. Designers: Jinze Cui, Eugenio Mangi, Andrea Bergonzini. Assistants: Mengbo Cao, Qian An, Bo Zhang. Studio: DRAFTARCH (Tianjin, China).
