The Choir’s voices resound even here in the Between: “Run.” “Bow.” “Break.” “Obey.” But the Guild has never bowed well. Voidmaker Ascendant… silence crowned… the breath of worlds that were unwound. It surveys us, not with eyes, but with vacancy. “Return the Shard,” it decrees. “All prisons must be restored.” The Lantern flares violently, “Never again.
