BEREAN CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL ________________________________________________________________________________ In 1967, a middle school, called Walnut Creek Christian Academy (WCCA) began to expand its program by adding high school grades nine and ten, but by 1968, the school realized it wouldn't be able to accommodate a full high school program. The governing board of WCCA sought the support of its denomination, the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches, and established a new school called Regular Baptist High School. In 1978, it was renamed to the school we have today, Berean Christian High School. For seven years the school continued to grow and operate on the Morello Baptist Church Campus. In 1985, the board purchased the current site on El Divisadero Ave in Walnut Creek. The current Board of Directors consists of representatives from three of the original founding churches and two cooperating churches. Today, Berean thrives in its growth and continued excellence in delivering quality Biblically-based Christian education. It is known and respected by both the Christian and secular communities for its excellence, leadership, and integrity.
