China launches new Nuclear Submarine 093B ! Very stealthy and carrying YJ- 18 long range missiles

Recently military analysts believe that China just launched a brand new Type 093B nuclear attack submarine, another milestone in China’s Navy building adventure. Satellite picture released indicated the submarine at an unidentified port. Chinese shipbuilders had completed three 093B before, this advanced nuclear-propelled attack submarine can stay underwater for weeks, packed with vertically launched YJ-18 anti-ship missiles. US assessments claim that the noise level is now between that of the USN Los Angeles class Flight I and the Flight III. The vessel is an important platform transitioning to the complete new design Type 095 submarine, and ready to be delivered to the Navy. The 093 is the only nuclear attack submarine currently in service in China, and the first one to achieve meaningful combat readiness. The 093B is believed to be around 100 to 110 meters long, and the modified Type 093G is longer. A key feature attracting a lot of attention is right behind the sail, a few vertical-launch tubes are added in slightly enlarged hull, storing and launching both YJ-18 anti-ship missiles and DF-10 land-attack cruise missiles. The YJ-18 missile is Chinese licensed Russian Caliber cruise missile with major upgrades, including better electronics and computing power. The YJ-18 family consists anti ship, anti submarine, and land attack variants. The US Defense Department reported that three Type 093B were launched in 2015. It is reported that over the next decade, China will continue building more Type 093B and start the process of constructing the first Type 095 submarine. The latter will bring Chinese nuclear attack submarine much closer to the U. S. level. The fleet of submarines will enhance the Chinese Navy’s anti-surface warfare capability, protect its inter continental ballistic missile submarines and aircraft carriers, and could also provide a more threatening land-attack option. Soon China will have a powerful nuclear submarine fleet that can challenge the U. S. Navy in eastern Asia waters.
