4/7 I would like to start by giving a huge shout out to legendary Traffic fan Kenneth Buckley for instigating my research regarding these sessions after all these years. I would also like to personally thank another Legendary Traffic & Master Winwood fan (who would like to remain anonymous) for providing me with a source. Thank you Guys... Another superb jam from these legendary sessions... this time an instrumental... 1986 was a very fruitful year for both Master Winwood & Master Joel - Back in the High Life & The Bridge - were both musical masterpieces... Both albums saw collaborations from some legendary Masters as well as popular musicians of the time. Master Joel has been one of the biggest fans of Master Winwood in the music business ever since the Spencer Davis days... Alongside Master Small, their band The Hassles regularly covered Traffic tracks on stage as well as recording Coloured Rain for their 1968 debut... The Bridge was definitely an opportunity for Master Joel to work with Master Winwood, hang out and jam together. Many a fans are aware of the composition "Getting Closer" on the record as well as the tracks alternate take from the sessions. However, what maybe less known is that having all that studio time, they jammed on various Traffic & Blind Faith compositions as well. I am ecstatic to unearth some of these legendary jams from "The Bridge" sessions... I must reiterate that the recordings are not super structured, the Masters are messing around and basically "having fun"... They exchange vocals with Master Winwood guiding the Jam with the correct keys as well as lyrics etc... What is fascinating - from what I can gather - is that Master Winwood is playing BASS GUITAR throughout the jams, with Russell and David on Guitars and naturally Liberty on the skins... Master Joel is on assorted keyboards as expected... There are probably a few more musicians hanging around and possibly contributing in & out. I would love to be given more info on these sessions by any fan who may know more thus can be corrected on some of the discrepancies... LEGENDARY...
