On this week’s beachcombing survey near Port Aransas, Texas, I came across an unusual find — a bright orange rigid life raft washed up along the shoreline. This fiberglass raft was rectangular in shape, had black netting stretched across the middle, and even still had two paddles attached! Where did it come from? How did it end up on the beach?
