El Cotillo Walk and a Big New Development

I took a walk around El Cotillo Fuerteventura on a lovely sunny afternoon to show how busy it is, what is new and what's not and to give those that love El Cotillo but cannot travel here a "fix". There is a new pizza restaurant in the old harbour and El Callao has changed hands (which is a shame as we liked it there) and it is now an Italian restaurant. This restaurant also has the tables down on the quay in the old habour, below the Vaca Azul (the Blue Cow). The ruin that is being rebuilt and extended on the north side of the old harbour will also be a restaurant. That is close to the Dragon's Egg rock. The Coral Cotillo Beach hotel is still closed and just along from there they have started a large new development which I believe is going to be a hotel or aparthotel. I made a video when planning permission for this was applied for -    • Proposed new hotel in El Cotillo | Is all-...   (UPDATE: A picture has gone on the site showing it will be apartments with a pool) Too much development, particularly of hotels, will totally change (and spoil) El Cotillo. I stopped walking at the start of the northern beaches.
