Description A gripper handles (take, move and drop) and feeds components, in this example the B-pillar flange and pillar plate, into the process and can take and drop components using a pneumatic tensioner. A precise and reliable position is ensured in conjunction with positioning pins and contour blocks/NC blocks (NAAMS). Less precise positioning may also be ensured with vacuum suction cups. Sensors record whether a component is in the gripper and whether it is in the right position.
