“Asia’s Queen of Songs” Pilita Corrales, in a 2003 interview, recalls her ABS-CBN musical show “An Evening With Pilita”, which ran from 1965 to 1972 and endeared her to Filipinos. The program also was part of many historic firsts in Philippine broadcast technology--the first to be taped (before then shows were aired live) and the first to air in color.
