"Trichome Dreams" was minted for The @iamwessel 420 Stoner Stick People event. @stonerstickppl #ssp420event I am excited to share the intricate beauty of the cannabis plant, while also highlighting the power of technology to transform and enhance our perceptions of nature. https://objkt.com/tokens/KT1QFYDrB7Ja... The original black and white photograph by materials scientist Rainer Eckert features trichomes on a cannabis plant captured using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The SEM uses beams of electrons to scan the surface of the sample and create detailed images with much higher magnification than is possible with traditional optical microscopes. The image has been edited using Moshed technology, which allowed me to add color and the mesmerizing wave-like pattern that gives the piece a sense of depth and fluidity. The result showcases the intricate structures and textures of the trichomes in incredible detail. The music accompanying the visuals was created using Arturia’s Yamaha CS-80v synthesizer. The original CS-80 synth was first introduced in the late 1970, renowned for its warm and expressive sound (think Vangelis and Bladerunner). Its unique features include a dual-layered keyboard, which allows for simultaneous playing of two different sounds, and a ribbon controller that can be used to add expressive modulation effects.
