When I decided to end my marriage it was the most painful decision I ever made in my life. However, I realized staying in an abusive relationship just to give my child a two parent household was never going to benefit him. Still, I battled with so many thoughts. 💔Would my son be OK? 💔Would his dad still be in the picture helping me raise him or would I have to do it alone? 💔How was I going to answer the question of where is my dad and why doesn’t he want me? Over the years I had to help my son deal with feelings of rejection when his dad made promises and didn’t deliver. I had to deal with my own anger and feelings of being a failure for picking the father I did. And I had to learn how to truly trust God to be a father to the fatherless while learning how to forgive and pray for my ex so that we could raise our child together in a way that he was reassured both of his parents loved him and would always make the best decision for him. Now I help single and divorced moms learn to heal from their abuse, discover their happy place, learn to forgive and co-parent with their ex, and help their kids to overcome their abandonment issues.
