The October edition of our webinar series will focus on cybersecurity, particularly going over the challenges on cybersecurity from a human point of view, and how to protect oneself against cybercrime Our first guest speaker is Aram Smith, a Senior Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft. He will dive into Microsoft’s Zero Trust Architecture and what we all can do to protect ourselves against cybercrime. While supporting Microsoft’s largest customers with their Cloud Architecture, it became abundantly clear that cybersecurity is now at the core of every business and IT architecture. Using Zero Trust Architecture and its human-centered ‘Secure by Design’ mindset, Microsoft aims to protect companies and their users against cybersecurity threats. Our second guest speaker is Dr. Rick van der Kleij, a psychologist working as a senior researcher and consultant at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research and an associate lecturer at the Center of Expertise Cybersecurity at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. According to Rick, behavioral aspects are key to improving cyber security within organizations and society as a whole. He will address the challenges of cybersecurity from a human factors point of view, arguing that an important condition to decrease the risk of cybercrime victimization is end-user cyber secure behavior. He will also explain cyber behavior and show how we can enable people to behave in a more secure manner through human-centered security design.
