Na linii 202 i 201 obowiązuje taryfa lokalnego transportu zbiorowego w Łodzi czyli taka sama jak w autobusach MPK. Linia podmiejska działa w 1 i 2 strefie Lokalnego Transportu Zbiorowego w Łodzi. Na obszarze Łodzi kursuje 91 linii autobusowych dziennych komunikacji miejskiej (wraz z wariantami). Większą cześć linii obsługuje MPK Łódź, zaś pozostałe ZPK Markab, UHT Anna Chmiel, BP Tour. System numerowania linii jest odmienny od innych polskich miast i niestety nie jest konsekwentny. Dla osób pierwszy raz spotykających się z tym systemem jest on nieczytelny. Często tzw. wariant trasy oznaczony przy liniach zwykłych literą jest w zasadzie inną linią, gdyż jego trasa znacznie różni się od wariantu podstawowego. Tak jest w przypadku linii 3A i 3B, czy 53C, 53D, 53E. A szczytem bałaganu numeracyjnego jest występowanie dwóch linii 6 tramwajowej i autobusowej przebiegających innymi trasami. Utrudnieniem jest także brak wyróżnienia numeracyjnego podmiejskich linii strefowych jak to ma miejsce w innych miastach. Linie zastępcze oznaczone są literą Z przed numerem linii chociaż zdarzają się wyjątki od tej reguły (43A, 43B). Natomiast linie obsługujące strefy przemysłowe oznaczone są literami a ich warianty cyframi, czyli zupełnie odwrotnie jak w przypadku linii z zakresu podstawowej numeracji.
