Orchard Kids // Nicodemus Visits Jesus// Based on John 3:1-21
Our lesson this week comes from John 3:1-21. One night a man named Nicodemus visited Jesus because he wanted to learn more from Him. Jesus said something that really confused Nicodemus. Jesus said, "I tell you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". Nicodemus thought that by keeping all God's laws, he was going to heaven. But we all know, that it's nothing that we can do or earn, it's not about how good WE are...apart from Jesus, there is nothing good in us. Eternal life is a gift that comes only from God through His son, Jesus. (John 3:16) Without Jesus, we are spiritually dead inside. Sin separates us from God. When people believe in Christ and are "born again", they receive new life and become part of God's kingdom. Jesus offers new life to those who trust in Him.
