Planet: Oralis Theta-5 System: Helixan Verge, Sector 18-F Date: Sol 437. Mission Year 6 Commander: Ilyan Rehn We made descent at 0432 local time. The atmosphere is breathable, though saturated with iron-rich particulates. The sand is rust-red and fine as talcum; it clings to every seam in my suit. Gravity is close to Earth standard—0.94g, manageable. But the psychological weight of this place... it’s heavier. We found it just as our scans predicted: a vast, ruined orbital station, collapsed into the planet’s surface like a fallen god. The structure is ancient, possibly centuries old. Its purpose unclear—too large for habitation, too intricate for mining. The triple ring design suggests some kind of energy manipulation or containment, but no one builds like this anymore. Not even the Federation. Solar arrays lie scattered like bones, partially buried in the sand. Some still shimmer in the harsh light of the local star, Xerathis. The wreckage casts long shadows—geometry half-devoured by time. It’s oddly peaceful. No wildlife. No wind. Just silence. Even the treads from our lander are quickly erased by the settling dust. The onboard AI estimates the crash occurred between 230 and 270 years ago. Oddly, there are no signs of conflict—no blast marks, no weapons damage. It’s as if the station was simply… dropped here. On purpose? Or abandoned by a civilization that outgrew its need for gravity? Radiation levels are low. The residual energy signature still pulses faintly beneath the surface. We’ve deployed drones into the hull. They send back images of long corridors, still sealed, lit by flickering remnants of power. One chamber contains something that looks like a stasis cradle—or a tomb. We don’t know which yet. There’s something meditative about this place. I sat for a time on a broken support strut, watching the sunrise stretch across the dunes. I remembered the words of the philosopher Qen Mairas: “Only in the absence of voices do we begin to hear the music of existence.” Maybe that's what this world is. A final echo. A harmony left behind by those who vanished. The others are prepping for excavation. I find myself reluctant to disturb the stillness. —End Log. #scifiambient #ambient #ambientmusic #soundscape #backgroundmusic #drone #dystopia #postapocalyptic #postapocalypse #darkambient #emotionalmusic #existentialmusic #noisemusic #meditationmusic #musicforsleep #musicforstudying #musicformeditation #musicforthesoul #musicforstudy #ambientmusicforstudying #ambientmusicforsleep #ambientmusicforwork #musicforprogramming #relaxingambientmusic #dystopianmusic #ambientsound #ambientsoundscapes #distanthorizon #scarymusic #horrormusicsoundeffect #horromusic
