Each square is surrounded by a fair amount of ore. The layout encourages multiple smaller engagements as players fight for control over each individual square and its resources. I tried to launch a counterattack to relieve pressure, forcing one assailant to pull back. However, the other enemy player pressed the advantage and ultimately destroyed my teammate, leaving me to fight solo. Now on my own, I used my few remaining tanks to attempt to cripple Iceman, managing to destroy his MCV and other vital structures. My strategy shifted: Migs are expensive and resources are tight on this map for the long run, so I switched to building tanks and expanding as rapidly as possible. I managed to expand to two additional bases, allowing me to build up a decent tank army. My goal was to expand and try to keep the other teams confined, limiting their resources and unit production to gain the upper hand over time. As the game went on, my biggest concern was RSCupcake — a formidable player who showed great economy management despite only expanding to one additional sector. While his army was impressive and his economic skills unmatched, I believed his economy wasn’t strong enough to mount a more aggressive attack against my expanding base.
