"Yesterday, we saw this street from my rooftop. Today, as promised, we step down into it and join the river of life. This is our next stop in the San Luis Potosí Collection. I want you to tell me what this incredible scene makes you feel. This painting is all about that feeling of being immersed in the crowd, a part of the city's daily flow. I painted this from the perspective of someone walking with the people, led by the woman in the straw hat. The perspective pulls you forward, down the historic street, towards that distant church tower. You're surrounded by the warm, sun-baked colors of the buildings and the cool, deep shadows cast by the narrow walls. And above it all, that same energetic, swirling sky that we saw from the rooftop is guiding our journey. To me, this painting feels like a warm, bustling afternoon. But what about you?
