Wide destruction STORYLINE Lebanon has been slowly trying to recover from the destruction and chaos delivered by 34 days of Israeli bombardment as the Lebanese army moved into former Hezbollah strongholds on Friday and families of the dead started giving their loved ones a proper burial. In the village of Bazouriye, where Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah was born and attended school, four civilians were finally laid to rest. Women and men alike mourned their loss in a collective display of grief. Bazouriye is six miles (ten kilometres) east of the coastal city of Tyre. The area bore some of the heaviest Israeli shelling during a 34 day offensive which came to a fragile ceasefire on Monday. In the southern Lebanese town of Qana, grieving relatives of 29 civilians - mostly elderly, women and children - killed during the Israeli bombardment also gathered for a mass burial on Friday. Twenty-nine Lebanese civilians and two Hezbollah fighters were killed in an Israeli airstrike on July 30 in Qana, according to locals who spoke to AP Television reporters on the ground.
