See Tasmania in the off season! This video was filmed over autumn and winter while we lived and travelled across Tasmania. It’s a showcase of some amazing landscapes and experiences from our four months, with a few cinematic moments to good music (at least in my opinion)! We hope it serves as a bit of travel inspiration or even a travel guide of sorts. If nothing else, you’ll get a feel for why Tasmania is a paradise for nature lovers, especially in the cooler months. Our bases: 👉 Lulworth (north Tasmania): Fantastic beaches, the city of Launceston, scenic walks and local wildlife. 👉 Primrose Sands (south-East Tasmania): Beautiful scenery, vibrant Hobart including the Dark MOFO festival, hiking in the Tasman Peninsula and visiting historic Port Arthur. 👉 Zeehan (west Tasmania): Mining history, Queenstown, Montezuma Falls & Strahan, featuring the West Coast Wilderness Railway and Gordon River Cruises (with Sarah Island). EXPECT: ★ Jaw-dropping landscapes: Glorious beaches, coastal trails, rainforests and waterfalls like Montezuma Falls and Nelson Falls. ★ Impressive hikes: Including the iconic Cape Hauy track and lesser known trails ★ Aussie wildlife: Resident wallabies, echidnas, black cockatoos and playful sea lions! ★ Bucketlist experiences: The one of a kind Dark Mofo festival in Hobart, the historic West Coast Wilderness Railway and the acclaimed Gordon River Cruises. ★ The perks of off season travel: Gorgeous sunny days with crisp air, fewer crowds, good deals and glimpses of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights)!
