In this video, we jump right into the recent trends and future predictions for the trucking industry. Despite the growing economy, the trucking industry has been experiencing a decline. With the slowest growth in transportation capacity since March 2022, and freight brokers shutting down, the future might seem bleak. However, there's more to the story. We've seen capacity utilization rise by 7.2 points from September, and retailers have reported growth in transportation rates. Interestingly, even though volume and tender rejection declined in October, they still registered higher rates compared to September. The contract market prices have been on a downward trend for 16 months, and average market freight rates were down across the board in October. But don't lose hope just yet. We're expecting a temporary improvement in flatbed, and reefers are set to increase, thanks to Thanksgiving! Dry vans, however, are facing a tough time with high capacity, low volume, and low rates. But keep a close eye on dry van freight, as it could be a key indicator for what's in store for 2024. As we approach the end of the year, the question arises - are early Black Friday sales the “peak” in peak season? The coming months will reveal what January 2024 has in store for us. In these challenging times, it's crucial to reevaluate expenses and work with experienced dispatchers. So, buckle up and join us as we navigate through the twists and turns of the trucking industry and uncover what's in store for 2024. #Trucking #Trucking2024 #TransportationTrends Learn more at https://aftdispatch.com Call or Text (801) 448-6363 ▶ DON'T CLICK THIS - http://bit.ly/2P2r1U7
