The WX8 has been around for a long time. This video show how it should boot up and explains how to operate it. As I explain in the video, the CLEAR button is the key to knowing if an active cell is out there. At the middle of the video I show you how to simulate lightning so you can verify the system is working. Basically all you need is something with a "sparky" motor and if the system is operating correctly, it will pick it up. It's worth noting that if your aircraft's electrical system has a connection that is loose, it can also show up as lightening on the storm scope......I learned that lesson the hard way. FLY SAFE!
