"Rowan Tree" is inspired by old Celtic folk songs, weaving enchantment and nostalgia through lilting melodies and sweet, airy female vocals. Like wind through ancient branches, it tells the tale of a young girl who returns to the rowan tree of her childhood, a place of quiet magic, memory, and whispered promises. Her voice, pure and wistful, paints scenes of mossy hills, faerie rings, and starlit skies, imbuing the song with a sense of longing and gentle wonder. In Celtic culture, the Rowan tree is a powerful symbol of protection, intuition, and spiritual insight. Often called the “Tree of Life” or the “Traveler’s Tree,” it was believed to ward off evil spirits and guide the soul. With its bright red berries and delicate, star-like flowers, the Rowan was associated with magic and the feminine divine, often planted near homes or sacred sites to keep negative forces at bay. Druids revered the Rowan as a bridge between worlds, linking the mortal realm with the unseen. Its wood was used in charms and talismans, and it was believed that those who carried a sprig of Rowan were shielded from enchantments. In folklore, the Rowan stood as a guardian, watchful, wise, and woven into the landscape of myth and mystery. “Rowan Tree” is both lullaby and lament, an ode to nature, memory, and the quiet magic that still waits in forgotten groves.
