💡 Challenge Lab: Creating a VPC Networking Environment for the Café The café team wanted a secure way to separate their application server from their database while still allowing controlled access. The solution was to design a multi-subnet VPC setup with different security layers. Key steps included: Creating both public and private subnets Deploying a bastion host in the public subnet to securely access resources in the private subnet Creating a NAT Gateway to allow private instances to download updates without being exposed to the internet Configuring Security Groups and Network ACLs to tightly control traffic between subnets ✅ Outcome: The café application environment is now more secure, following best practices such as least privilege access and defense in depth. Private resources remain isolated, but administrators can still manage and update them safely through the bastion host and NAT Gateway.
