Wide of bridge STORYLINE: People trying to leave Crimea are spending hours in kilometres-long (miles) traffic jams in the hope of reaching the Kerch bridge, linking the Russia-annexed peninsula with the mainland. "They say that you can spend almost twenty-four hours in this traffic jam," one driver waiting his turn told the Associated Press on Sunday. Car traffic has resumed along both road sections of the Kerch Bridge, Russia's deputy prime minister said on Sunday. Marat Khusnullin, who also heads a government commission investigating the blast which tore through the bridge on Saturday, said in a Telegram post that previously, only one section was open to alternating traffic. Khusnullin added that authorities continued their investigation of the damage. Crimea has been a popular, year-round sun-and-sea destination for Russian tourists, both before and after its annexation by Moscow in early 2014, which was condemned by Western nations and Ukraine as illegal. An explosion caused the partial collapse of the sole bridge linking the peninsula to Russian territory early on Saturday. =========================================================== Clients are reminded: (i) to check the terms of their licence agreements for use of content outside news programming and that further advice and assistance can be obtained from the AP Archive on: Tel +44 (0) 20 7482 7482 Email: info@aparchive.com (ii) they should check with the applicable collecting society in their Territory regarding the clearance of any sound recording or performance included within the AP Television News service (iii) they have editorial responsibility for the use of all and any content included within the AP Television News service and for libel, privacy, compliance and third party rights applicable to their Territory.
