Join this channel to get access to perks: / @wanderda Hello ji, This is Episode 11 of Silk Road Trip – Part 2. In this episode, I ride from Alichur to Khorog on the legendary Pamir Highway, often called the Roof of the World. I take a long detour to visit Lake Yashikul, the coldest place in Central Asia — a surreal high-altitude lake that feels more like a beach in the clouds. I stop there to make coffee, sit quietly, and just take it all in. The ride ahead isn’t easy. The roads get rough, the wind gets colder, and the landscape keeps changing — from barren, Ladakh-like terrain to lush green valleys with a stunning blue river flowing alongside. As I lose altitude, I decide to camp near the river for the night. Dinner turns into an unexpected story of kindness. I try to find bread, and some locals give it to me without asking for anything in return. Later, while crossing a river, the bread accidentally falls into the water. So I head to a small shop, buy rice, cook chhole-rice, set up my tent, and end the day under the stars. This episode isn’t about speed or drama. It’s about slow travel, human kindness, bad roads, simple food, and finding peace after chaos. Life is enjoy :) 📍 Route: Alichur → Lake Yashikul → Pamir Highway → Camp near river 🏍 Motorcycle: CFMOTO 450 (loaded & tired, like me 😅) 🏔 Region: Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan Timestamps 00:00 Intro 00:56 Alichur 04:10 The Detour 07:55 Road to Lake Yashikul 11:04 Stunning Lake 16:24 Bad Bad Roads 19:16 Ladakh vs Pamir Highway 22:24 To Green Pastures 25:14 Breaking Bread 33:17 Camping in Tajikistan 36:42 Outro
