Honoring Madeleine Albright with the Warren Christopher Public Service Award
The Pacific Council’s Warren Christopher Public Service Award honors the lifetime achievements of former U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher (1993-1997), the longtime Chair of the Pacific Council’s Board of Directors. The Christopher Award is presented to those who demonstrate commitment to international and domestic affairs, to the highest ethical standards, to promotion of the common good, to equality and fairness, and to government service as a noble pursuit. Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (1997-2001) became the third recipient of the Pacific Council’s Warren Christopher Public Service Award on July 21, 2020, during the 2020 Global Summit: Beyond the Horizon, following Hillary Clinton in 2013 and Mary Robinson in 2016.
