Baby Jermaine finds another chance at life in Apollo Delhi | Apollo Hospitals Delhi

Baby Jermaine was born in Philippines. Soon after her birth, she developed a chronic liver disease. It was told that babies born with neonatal jaundice like her are at risk of their lives. At six months of age, her health deteriorated and she was diagnosed with colidocal cyst. At seven months of age, she started vomiting blood and desperately needed a liver transplant to have any chance of survival. When she arrived at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital (India's First Organ transplant centre) in New Delhi with her parents, she weighed only 8.5 kilograms at one and half years of age. After a challenging 14-hour long surgery, she recovered smoothly and happily returned home. Baby Jermaine is now 3 years of age and living a happy childhood.
