The uni to uni knot is perhaps the easiest knot out there for connecting two lines together, and is highly effective for connecting lines of different types and diameters, because you have control over the size of each knot with the number of wraps that you make to form each knot. The knot can be used to connect your main line to your leader, because it is strong but also thin enough to come through the guides.
