I'm sorting and taking stock of my seeds and ordering seed from my favorite seed company, FedCo. I save a lot of seed, which saves a lot of money. Most things are fairly easy to save seed from if there are no wild versions of the same species growing (like wild lettuce, wild carrot and wild radish) and you grow only one variety. Some barely cross, like tomatoes and lettuce, so you can save seed from several at once, without any isolation, or only a little bit of distance between varieties. Seed saving should not be intimidating. Just look up how to do it and do it. Some vegetables require isolation, and special techniques, but most are pretty easy. Since most seed will last at least several years, you won't have to save it every year.
