This is a little talk I did for a friend of mine who is a huge hockey fan. A die hard lifetimel Philadelphia Flyers fan. I was a sports junkie myself for a lot of years. I just don't resonate with a lot of it anymore. (On a side note when I was talking about the Russian player that had his leg broken in that series versus the Canadians in '72. I said it was Bobby Clarke that had done that. The second I recorded this I realized oh s*** it was Bobby Orr. Lol however, Bobby Clarke was playing in this game here) However with the 50th anniversary coming up in January of this historic 1976 match up between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Soviet Union's Red Army hockey team. I point out how the Russians were not really equipped to play under American or Canadian rules. It really exposed them a bit. They dominated a lot of times in the Olympic hockey arena because the game was played differently. They were always used to playing Balerina type hockey versus a smash mouth brand. It was not like the brand of hockey that the Canadians and the Americans played.
