GW2 PvP Testing Stronghold (HoT - Beta), POV Mesmer (Shatter) Gameplay - first impressions

Special Guest: Jebro (Streamed this game link:   / 650319188  , Start: 42,00min) The new PvP-Map/-Mode that will be added with HOT was in public beta for 1 day. I tested the map with my mesmer. These are my 2 first matches (cutted! mostly i deleted runnings over the map without anything happend). I was too busy with getting whats happend on the map and also was too excited to do something good. I also wanted to test few utilities for mesmer but i forgot them most of the time thanks to tunnel vision, lol. But at least i could find out some stuff. Because there are already so many guides about stronghold out right now, i just added few basics by text. What i also found out: 1. Killing defending enemy-npcs gives points for your team (5 points if i remember right), killing attacking enemy-npcs dont give points. 2. You can pick up a 3. supply from other dead players, but only if you already carrying 2 supplies from camp (means you cannot pick up 2 playersupplies during carrying 1 campsupply, maybe that was just bugy) 3. Fallen playersupplies disappearing after a certain time (dont know the time exactly but it was pretty long, felt like 20 sec) 4. I didnt get the chance to use Illusion of Life on our Lord (but i think its working because you can banner him or res him with the ranger elite-spirit). Most reward of time warp (elite) i felt is, when you use it short time before the lord is going down, so its still up for the stomp (but that surely depends on the situation). Time warp dont affect channel-times (at least not the heroes one, as far as i tried)! I heart, that you can Moa the Lord, but i dont know, if this makes any sense. Moa an attacking hero in your lordroom right on time surely can be quite good (but a simple interrupt doing the same with shorter cd). I couldnt test Moa out, but i feel like it isnt that usefull on this map than in the old pvp-mode, sure i am not totally certain about that right now. 5. If you still see enemy-npcs at the doors on the minimap than channel archer before doorbreaker, so they can kill the defending enemy-npcs and protect the doorbreakers that way, otherwise a player have to run with the doorbreakers. This will be necessary in general, when ppl start to defend their lordkeep more and right from the beginning of the match. Also player can give boons (like speed) and heal to their npcs to support them. 6. You get lot of informations (text and voice) that heroes will spawn soon (30 sec before). in generell the game gives a lot informations about whats happening on the map and its rly hard in the beginning to get all these informations all over the screen. But sure its getting better with the time ;) 7. I felt usefull enough with mesmer no matter if i was defending, attacking or just roaming/supplyrunning. Sure this is just a randomteam vs. randomteam perspective, we have to wait how this will go on when we all better know, how to play this map and when coordinated teams play against each other. 8. Staff will be a good weapon on this map for mesmer, i saw a lot of good possibilities for Phase Retreat, and sure chaosstorm is usefull in lot of ways. i sadly hadnt the time to try it out. Both matches i played Zerk-Shatter-Mesmer with GS/Sword+Torch and Traveler-Rune. I am looking forward to the release, because i like the map and the pvp-mode. It gives variety to gw2 pvp and i hope anet will add more maps for that mode and even more pvp modes after Hot ;)
