Decided to try something new and record one of my hikes. Testing out the video recording software on my phone to see how well it comes out. On this trip I start at dawn from the car park at Shipley Bridge and head north-west along an old dismantled tramway on Brent Moor. I pass the East and West White Barrow's before arriving at the abandoned Red Lake China Clay Works. I then head west, cross-country, into the valley of the River Avon. I follow the river downstream passing some bridges, cairns and stone walls along the way. I circle round the north coast of the Avon Dam Reservoir, crossing Brockhill Stream and bend south to get to the dam itself. Following the road along the banks of the river I finally reach the end of my journey back at the car park. The weather wasn't the best on this trip as you can see (or more appropriately can't see) but this was a pretty average winter day for Dartmoor so I'm not complaining. Spotted some of the typical Dartmoor wildlife along the way such as cows, ponies and sheep. I know the sound and video editing isn't the best on this video but unfortunately I didn't have any good editing software available. Hopefully this will improve in future videos. I hope you enjoy the video and if you do please give it a like and give me a subscribe. More videos to follow! #GetOutdoorsDan
