As August comes to a close, we're still hard at work, prepping for the next session of classes and cooking up lots of fun stuff for our show. But we're also reflecting a little on the challenges facing everyone - not only those near and dear to us, but people all over the world. As we struggle through these increasingly contentious and divisive times, it's more important than ever to find a way to connect with and understand people. It may feel too difficult to meet others where they are, or to be the bigger person making the attempt to reach common ground - especially if you encounter someone who seems content to take the low road. But coming from a compassionate place, no matter how you define it, can work wonders in breaking down walls and finding that common ground. It's the necessary first step in making progress and effecting positive change... together. We encourage you to share with us what compassion means to you, and how you would like to see it put into practice.
