Because this could have been my last ride by an Intercity train on the left Rhine railway I just kicked up my heels and took the IC 2217 from the origin station to it´s terminus. This train starts from Greifswald in the northeast of Germany at 7:01 am and runs via Stralsund, Rostock, Hamburg, Cologne, left Rhine railway and Mannheim to Karlsruhe (southwest), arriving at 6:13 pm according to schedule. This makes it to one of the longest train services of Germany and I sat litteraly the whole day in the same train. As you can tell by my travel time indication at the head, there were happening some major delayments. What actually happened can be seen in the video.
