Integration tests REM project in Montreal

The integration tests of the #ReseauExpressMetropolitain (REM) network, conducted by the #TeamAlstom in #Montreal, continue and have reached major milestones in recent weeks. Metro cars now travel from Brossard Station to #CentralStation to carry out different types of tests. Among them, the so-called “carousel” tests, which involve running trains from one end of the line to the other at a high frequency, enable teams to finalize the set-up of signalling features for automatic train control and automatic supervision of the entire network. During integration tests, thousands of equipment and systems (tracks and switches, stations and platform screen doors, electrical power supply, camera and telecommunications, cars, signalling, etc.) must be tested to ensure their operation, together, in a safe manner in nominal mode but also in degraded mode.
