Welcome to the sixth of our farmer-made videos on low-input farming in the uplands, produced in collaboration with the Prince's Countryside Fund. For this series, we asked 8 farmers across, Devon, Wales, Cumbria, and Scotland to create a video illustrating how low-input farming contributes to the resilience and health of their farm, both in terms of the land, and their bottom line. In this video, Mark Philpot of World’s End Farm in Wales will take us through how selecting the right breed for your farm system is the key to a successful low-input hill farm. Mark's hardy native breeds thrive on a fully pasture-fed diet, and he shares some tips for other low-input practices that help his bottom line. Join us on March 8th for our next video, featuring Alex Brewster of Rotmell Farm, Scotland.
