Displayed in Spoon Sports Type One garage in the 2020 Spoon Collection, JDM and Honda fans alike were excited at the sight of something that has never been done before. A custom side flow exhaust muffler made of titanium that is based on a similar design that was used in the 1993-4 JTCC (Japan Touring Car Championship) Civic Ferio SiR EG9 with a special B18C based 2.0 litre engine giving about 300PS! The purpose of going to this extreme of exhaust routing not serves to increase torque and power, but to achieve something that most road car tuners have not been able to attempt or have the know how to do. By making the manifold to the side, the engineers are able to lower the engine by an impressive 40mm. This makes a significant difference to the centre of gravity, which will have a direct effect on handling characteristics. Making this closer to a true 'racing car' on the road. This was achieved by perhaps an industry first of bonding copious amounts of carbon fibre directly to the body in key strategic areas, thereby increasing rigidity to levels that potentially exceed a Type R body.
