The press tour of “It ends with us” is the best example of what NOT to do. It’s insulting to survivors. Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman, etc have made it a joke. The novel is already trivializing it but selling things is not a good idea with a story like this. The branding of it is so gross. Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama is not even important bc we probably will never hear his side and the drama itself might just be a marketing too. But this is NOT Barbie and Oppenheimer summer. Deadpool and Wolverine should have nothing to do with this movie. Colleen Hoover is already being gross with her mareking and selling stuff to make money off the lived experiences of so many women. This whole thing is so problematic. And what Ryan Reynolds did with Scarlett Johansen is very telling. The man is competitive. So perhaps he wanted to insert himself in this movie so much bc he had main character energy. Or to sabotage it, which he clearly did. Or bc he just wants to make as much money as possible.
