Meet my new adventure rig: the Daihatsu Hijet Jumbo 4x4. This little kei truck might be small, but it’s seriously impressive. While I haven’t started customizing it yet, it’s already proving to be the perfect platform for solo camping and overlanding adventures. This trip took me to a stunning little creek that we had entirely to ourselves. Getting there was half the fun, with a playful water crossing that the Hijet handled like a pro. Once at camp, I soaked in the peaceful vibes of the creek, listening to the calming sounds of water and nature all around me. To top off the day, I enjoyed a creek-side whiskey and cooked on my trusty rocket stove with a small, cozy fire.
