In this session, we're answering two important questions that are often asked by resource managers. 1. My company historically hasn’t been interested in doing formalized resource management. We have a huge number of projects going on internally, and it means we don't have much visibility on how people spend their time. People don't like the idea of time tracking or reporting, particularly researchers who want freedom in how they spend their time. How do I convince the organization of the benefits? 2. My company went through a layoff last year which greatly affected the RMO. It has forced us into being only reactive and administrative due to the decreased headcount. Is there an ideal ratio of Resource Manager to team size that better positions an RMO to start becoming a more Strategic Partner?
