Located in the southwest Messinia in the Peloponnese peninsula, Pylos or formerly also known as Navarinos is one of those picturesque seaside city that one could say "A home away from home!" Being reachable via bus or a drive away from Athens or Kalamata, this city should definitely be on your travel list or bucket list. A must place to see and experience in Greece. With its very rich history and even richer natural area, this city will not disappoint. Perfect for couples or family as there are heaps of things to do and see. May it be to relax or to be active, Pylos offers great gastronomy options, sight seeings, hiking places and finding yourself to one of the most amazing beaches in the world. No exaggerating here! One may opt for an over night stay in the area if you do plan to visit but I would recommend adding an extra day or two as this place would leave you wanting for more. A definite must place to see in Greece and probably by far my favourite city in the country.
